Ohio Council of Port Authority Quarterly Meeting

Attorney Joe Reidy from SZD gave a presentation on Jump-Starting Brownfield Projects at the OCPA meeting in Columbus on Thursday. Mark Locker from ODOT provided an update on transportation programs and issues. It was noted that the SEC implemented a regulation on Port Authority Board Members that will need attention. Moffat & Nichol an engineer firm that specializes in waterfront projects discussed their capabilities that would assist port authority projects. 

West Chester Chamber Lunch features the Economy

Graig Street from Huntington Bank talks about SBA lending in his segment of the "Chambernomics" lunch at the Savannah Center in West Chester, Ohio. Levon Henry, Vice President & Sr. Regional Officer at the Cincinnati Branch of he Federal Reserve Bank provided a presentation on the Current Status and Outlook for the U.S. Economy and the Federal Reserve Policy Response. Rosemarie Haddad from Merrill Lynch was the program emcee.

Greater Hamilton Chamber of Commerce Red Carpet Luncheon

Brett Smith, Superintendent and CEO of Butler Tech tells the GHCC crowd about Butler Tech. The theme of today's luncheon was education. Representatives from Badin High School, the Hamilton School District and Miami University Hamilton all gave brief overviews of their programs. I was able to meet Brett and tell him about the BCPA financing capabilities.

Butler County Port Authority Board Meeting January 18th

The BCPA Board Meeting was held at the Butler County Engineer's Office in Hamilton. Board Member Craig Hudson and Chairman Joe Magdich listen as the Executive Director, Mike Campbell discussed projects for 2010.

Strategic Plan Discussion at the Vision 2020 Meeting

Joel Fink review the Strategic Plan process at the January 2011 V2020 Meeting. Economic Development, the Arts and Quality of Life were the three main strategy items emphasized during the Strategic Planning session held in November.

TID January 2011 Meeting

Jim Blount, Chair calls the Butler County Transportation Improvement District Regular Monthly Meeting. The South Hamilton Crossing project is on the agenda for 2011. The BCPA assisted with the Recovery Zone Economic Development Bonds paperwork for improvements to the Route 4 Bypass.
