Middletown Regional Hospital Deconstruction at APA Conference
John McKinney from Atrium Medical Center reviews the history of the Middletown Regional Hospital and the recycling and reuse benefits of the deconstruction. The Butler County Port Authority was a partner and received the $1.8M CORF grant.

Route 63 Collaboration with the Butler County Transportation Improvement District
The BCPA and BCTID are collaborating on a Route 63 Collaboration for economic development in Butler County. At the TID Breakfast Board Meeting on January 11th Executive Director Ron Porter mentioned the need for organizational and community collaboration on the Route 63 extension. A preliminary meeting was held this week to discuss strategy.

Butler County Port Authority Board Meeting Announced
The Butler County Port Authority Board of Directors will meet on January 19th at the City of Hamilton Council Chambers in Hamilton, Ohio. A new logo with a map of Ohio has been chosen by the BCPA Board and Staff.

Recovery Zone Facility Bonds Request for Proposal Second Round
A RZFB RFP Second Round has been approved by the Butler County Port Authority. This bond allocation is available for eligible private activity. The remaining allocation is $10,965,000. Contact rcampbell@butlerport.org or phone 513-785-6302 for an RFP or more information. The deadline for submitting the RFP is January 31st.

Butler County Port Authority Five Years of Progress
"Our partners helped us to get started and now we are self-sufficient." Dick Slagle pointed out in a brief farewell as Chairman statement to the Board on December 15th at the regular monthly Board Meeting. The Butler County Commissioners and most of our municipalities and townships have supported the creation and development of the BCPA.
