Butler County Port Authority March 2011 Board Meeting

Amylin hosted the Butler County Port Authority Board Meeting on March 15th. The port is working on the Rt. 63 extension, EPA grant assessment for 2011 and a technical assistance grant for the MRH deconstruction project.

OKI Freight Plan

The preliminary findings of the Freight Plan Study were provided for public officials, transportation professionals and economic development representatives of Southwest Ohio at OKI Headquarters in Cincinnati. Consultants Parsons Brinckerhoff review powerpoint slides for the audience. Topics included Logistics and Carrier Industry Trends, OKI Area Railroad Infrastructure and the Freight Planning Process.

Economic Development Forum

Nate Green gave an update on Ohio Dept. of Development and the potential impact of Jobs Ohio on the economic development program in Ohio.

Butler County Convention and Visitors Bureau Board Meeting

The Butler County Port Authority Executive Director attended the Butler County Convention and Visitors Bureau Board Meeting on March 3rd. The BCCVB voted to proceed with Phase 1 of the Wayfinding Signage program.

Fairfield City Council Meeting February 28th

Cincinnati Christian Schools students participated as elected officials as part of "Tradetown" activities. The students actually read legislation titles and sat with Council during a regular council session.
